Culture Night 2026 at MyfanwyNia’s Studio

MyfanwyNia’s Studio is bringing artists together once again for a collaborative outdoor mural paint jam as part of Culture Night 2026 in County Leitrim.

The paint jam will bring together artists from Ireland’s contemporary mural and street art community alongside emerging and aspiring muralists to create a series of large-scale works across the studio’s purpose-built mural walls.

Whether you already work with spray paint and murals or are interested in developing your practice at a larger scale, this is an opportunity to paint alongside other artists in a relaxed and supportive environment, share techniques and ideas and be part of a collaborative day of painting, music and creative exchange.

The public will be welcome to drop in and watch the murals develop throughout the afternoon. As daylight fades, the newly created works will become an open-air Culture Night exhibition, with live DJs, refreshments and friends, family and the wider public invited to join us.

Selected artists will receive:

  • 8 cans of professional spray paint per artist, with colours selected in advance

  • Access to additional shared painting materials

  • PPE and use of studio equipment where required

  • Lunch and refreshments throughout the day

  • A dedicated space on the studio’s purpose-built mural walls

  • Inclusion in the Culture Night evening exhibition

Culture Night events are offered free to the public and operate within a limited event budget. This is a collaborative paint jam rather than a commissioned mural project. Artists will have the opportunity to create their own work on the studio’s mural walls and take part in the evening exhibition.

Places are limited and participating artists will be selected based on their work, interest and available wall space. Previous mural experience is welcome but not essential. Emerging and aspiring muralists are encouraged to apply.
