Culture Night 2025
MyfanwyNia’s Open Studio: Mural Making & Night Exhibition
Hosted by MyfanwyNia’s Studio
Step into a world of creativity this Culture Night with a unique event taking place at the rural home studio of award winning visual artist Harriet Myfanwy Nia Tahany in County Leitrim. For the first time, Harriet is opening her purpose-built mural space to the public, inviting you to take part in a collaborative painting workshop and an open-air exhibition under the stars.
During the day, a group of nine emerging artists and creative community members will join Harriet in transforming a series of outdoor mural walls into vibrant works of art. These murals will be painted on-site during a hands-on workshop that invites expression, experimentation and joyful collaboration.
In the evening, the space will open to the public for a relaxed exhibition event. Visitors are invited to view the freshly completed murals, meet the artists involved and enjoy the creative energy of this one-of-a-kind gathering. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to witness the final touches being added in real time, as the murals come to life before their eyes.
There will be music, refreshments and a chance to explore the outdoor studio space and speak with Harriet about her work and the evolving vision for the studio as a rural arts hub.
Harriet Myfanwy Nia Tahany is known for her fantasy-inspired mural art and storytelling imagery. She regularly teaches mural design in schools across Ireland and has led numerous public art projects with young people and community groups.
