✦ Artist's Note
These little wooden pins are part of my growing collection of handmade treasures, created here in my off-grid studio in County Leitrim, powered by wind and sun. I love finding new ways to bring my illustrations into everyday life, transforming something as simple as a brooch into a miniature piece of wearable art.
Wizard Kitties began as a pencil drawing on textured watercolour paper. I later colourised the original linework digitally, building up layers of colour while preserving the delicate details of the drawing.
The two little wizard cats inhabit a world of their own, where moonlight holds magical power and even the pussy willows have feline spirits. I like to imagine that their protective enchantment keeps the grove safe for all its magical inhabitants.
To bring the illustration into the physical world, I print it directly onto natural plywood and carefully laser-cut its decorative silhouette. Each piece is then embellished with glitter and finished by hand in glossy resin, creating a sparkling surface that catches the light.
I take particular care with the construction, embedding the metal pin plate in resin for added strength before adding the dangling faceted glass star. I love how the little stars move and shimmer, bringing another dimension to the original illustration.
Working in small batches allows me to give each piece my personal attention, from the first stages of production to the final finishing touches.
I hope these little pins become treasured companions, carrying a touch of feline magic into your everyday adventures.

Care Instructions
Keep dry and avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to moisture.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Avoid bending, dropping or applying excessive pressure to the wooden brooch or glass charm.
Handle the dangling star gently to protect its attachment.
As each brooch is handmade, natural variations in wood grain, glitter placement and glass star colour are to be expected.

This brooch is a decorative wearable accessory, not a toy. It contains small components, a sharp metal pin and a glass charm, and should be kept out of reach of young children.
The glass star may break if dropped or subjected to impact. Fasten the brooch securely before wearing and periodically check that the pin fastening and dangling charm remain firmly attached. Discontinue use if any components become loose or damaged.
Keep away from open flames and excessive heat.
